Data shows that as of December 31, 2024, the Xizang Autonomous Region had a total of 9,189 sports venues with a combined area of 7.24 million ㎡, translating to 1.96 ㎡of sports venue area per capita. In 2025, Lhasa City invested 50 million yuan(RMB) in the continuation construction of two sports parks in Lhunzhub County and Quxu County; allocated 2 million yuan(RMB) for the procurement and installation of 40 sets of outdoor fitness equipment; and spent 320,000 yuan(RMB) on implementing 32 "Ping Pong into Communities" projects to equip communities with ping pong tables... These efforts have fostered a favorable situation where "exercise follows wherever facilities are available" for national fitness.
